Redispersible polymer powder is the main additive for dry powder ready-mixed mortar such as cement-based or gypsum-based.
Redispersible latex powder is a polymer emulsion that is spray-dried and aggregated from the initial 2um to form spherical particles of 80~120um. Because the surfaces of the particles are coated with an inorganic, hard-structure-resistant powder, we obtain dry polymer powders. They are easily poured or bagged for storage in warehouses. When the powder is mixed with water, cement or gypsum-based mortar, it can be redispersed, and the basic particles (2um) in it will re-form to a state equivalent to the original latex, so it is called redispersible latex powder.
It has good redispersibility, re-disperses into an emulsion on contact with water, and has the exact same chemical properties as the original emulsion. By adding redispersible polymer powder to cement-based or gypsum-based dry powder ready-mixed mortar, various properties of mortar can be improved,

1 External Wall Insulation System
It can ensure good adhesion between mortar and polystyrene board and other substrates, and it is not easy to hollow and fall off. Enhanced flexibility, impact resistance and improved crack strength.
2 tile adhesive
Provides a high-strength bond to the mortar, giving the mortar enough flexibility to strain the different thermal expansion coefficients of the substrate and tile.
3 caulk
Redispersible polymer powder makes the mortar impermeable and prevents the intrusion of water. At the same time, it has good adhesion with the edge of the tile, low shrinkage and flexibility.
4 interface mortar
It can better close the gap of the substrate, reduce the water absorption of the wall, improve the surface strength of the substrate, and ensure the adhesion of the mortar.
5 Self-leveling floor mortar
Improve the crack resistance of self-leveling, increase the bonding force with the bottom layer, improve the cohesion, crack resistance and bending strength of the mortar.
6 waterproof mortar
Redispersible latex powder can improve workability; additionally increase water retention; improve cement hydration; reduce the elastic modulus of mortar and enhance compatibility with the base layer. Improve mortar density, increase flexibility, crack resistance or have bridging ability.
7 repair mortar
Ensure the adhesion of the mortar and increase the durability of the repaired surface. Lowering the elastic modulus makes it highly resistant to strain.
8 putty
Reduce the elastic modulus of the mortar, enhance the compatibility with the base layer, increase the flexibility, anti-cracking, improve the resistance to powder falling, so that the putty has certain impermeability and moisture resistance, which can offset the damage of temperature stress.
