Product Features:
1. Appearance: HEMC is white or almost white powder; odorless and tasteless.
2. Solubility: The H type in HEMC can be dissolved in water below 60℃, and the L type can only be dissolved in cold water. HEMC is the same as HPMC and is insoluble in most organic solvents. After surface treatment, HEMC disperses in cold water without agglomeration and dissolves slowly, but it can be quickly dissolved by adjusting its PH value to 8-10.
3. PH value stability: The viscosity changes little within the range of 2-12, and the viscosity is degraded beyond this range.
4. Fineness: the pass rate of 80 mesh is 100%; the pass rate of 100 mesh is ≥99.5%.
5. False specific gravity: 0.27-0.60g/cm3.
6. The decomposition temperature is above 200℃, and it starts to burn at 360℃.
7. HEMC has significant thickening, suspension stability, dispersibility, cohesiveness, moldability, water retention and other characteristics.
8. Because the product contains hydroxyethyl group, the gel temperature of the product reaches 60-90℃. In addition, hydroxyethyl group has high hydrophilicity, which also makes the product bonded rate good. Especially in the hot and high temperature construction in summer, HEMC has higher water retention than methyl cellulose of the same viscosity, and the water retention rate is not less than 85%.

Importance
As a surface active agent, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC has the following characteristics in addition to thickening, suspending, bonding, emulsifying, film-forming, dispersing, water-retaining and providing protective colloids:
(1) Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC is soluble in hot or cold water, making it have a wide range of solubility and viscosity characteristics, that is, non-thermal gelation;
(2) Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC can coexist with a wide range of other water-soluble polymers, surfactants, and salts, and is an excellent thickener for high-concentration electrolyte solutions;
(3) HEMC has stronger water retention than methyl cellulose, and its viscosity stability, dispersibility, and mildew resistance are stronger than that of hydroxyethyl cellulose.
Solution preparation method
(1) Add a specified amount of clean water to the container;
(2) Add hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC under low-speed stirring, and stir until all the hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose is evenly dissolved;
(3) In view of our technical test data, it is strongly recommended to add it after the polymer emulsion is added (ie, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC is pre-mixed with ethylene glycol or propylene glycol).
Usage
In industrial building materials, construction grade HEMC is suitable for tile adhesive,cement plasters, dry mixed mortar ,self leveling, gypsum plaster ,latex paint, building material binders, other construction fields, oilfield drilling, personal care products, cleaning agents, etc., generally used as thickeners, protective agents, adhesives, stabilizers, and suspending agents it can also be used as hydrophilic gels, matrix materials, preparing matrix-type sustained-release preparations, and can also be used as stabilizers in foods, etc. effect.
Packaging and storage
(1) Packed in paper-plastic composite polyethylene bag or paper bag, 25KG/bag;
(2) Keep the air flowing in the storage place, avoid direct sunlight, and keep away from fire sources;
(3) Because hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC is hygroscopic, it should not be exposed to the air. The unused products should be sealed and stored, and be protected from moisture.
