Pharmaceutical grade sodium carboxymethyl cellulose

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is widely used in pharmaceutical industries such as tablets, ointments, sachets, and medicinal cotton swabs. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose has excellent thickening, suspending, stabilizing, cohesive, water retention and other functions and is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is used as a suspending agent, thickening agent, and flotation agent in liquid preparations, as a gel matrix in semi-solid preparations, and as a binder, disintegrating agent in tablets solution and slow-release excipients.

Instructions for use: In the production process of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, CMC must be dissolved first. There are two usual methods:

1. Mix CMC directly with water to prepare a paste-like glue, then use it for later use. First, add a certain amount of clean water into the batching tank with a high-speed stirring device. When the stirring device is turned on, slowly and evenly sprinkle CMC into the batching tank to avoid the formation of agglomeration and agglomeration, and keep stirring. Make the CMC and water fully fused and fully melted.

2. Combine the CMC with the dried raw materials, mix in the form of dry method, and dissolve in the input water. During operation, the CMC is firstly mixed with the dry raw materials according to a certain proportion. The following operations can be carried out with reference to the above-mentioned first dissolving method.

After CMC is formulated into an aqueous solution, it is best to store it in ceramic, glass, plastic, wooden and other types of containers, and it is not suitable to use metal containers, especially iron, aluminum and copper containers. Because, if the CMC aqueous solution is in contact with the metal container for a long time, it is easy to cause the problems of deterioration and viscosity reduction. When the CMC aqueous solution coexists with lead, iron, tin, silver, copper and some metal substances, a precipitation reaction will occur, reducing the actual quantity and quality of CMC in the solution.

The prepared CMC aqueous solution should be used up as soon as possible. If the CMC aqueous solution is stored for a long time, it will not only affect the adhesive properties and stability of CMC, but also suffer from microorganisms and insects, thus affecting the hygienic quality of raw materials.
