HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) is a non-ionic cellulose ether. After adding an appropriate amount of HPMC to the putty powder, the interfacial bonding between the materials can be enhanced, making the putty layer less likely to fall off, effectively preventing hollowing and cracking of the wall, and extending the service life of the wall decoration layer.
5. Extending the open time
HPMC can extend the open time of putty (i.e. the time that can be repaired after construction), avoiding unnecessary waste or repair work caused by too fast drying of putty by construction workers in high temperature or dry environment. This is especially important for large-scale construction or processes that require multiple scraping.
6. Anti-drooping
When constructing vertical walls, HPMC can improve the anti-drooping performance of putty, making it less likely to slide and deform after construction, especially suitable for thick batch construction or multi-layer scraping scenes, improving the overall construction stability.
